چکیده
Brushless doubly-fed induction generators have higher reliability, making them an attractive choice for not only offshore applications but also remote locations. These machines are composed of two back-to-back voltage source converters: the grid side converter and rotor converter. The is typically used reactive current control power winding using current. A low ride through (LVRT) fault detected a hysterisis comparison voltage. This approach leads to problems, firstly, use detect faults results in erroneous or slow response, secondly, sub-optimal drop because static reference values compensation. paper solves these problems by analytical model caused short circuit. Moreover, fuzzy logic controller, proposed technique employs frequency addition magnitude LVRT conditions. helps reducing while controller better faster detection faults, leading overall response system. Simulations Matlab/Simulink show that can reduce up 0.12 p.u. result significantly lower transients as compared existing techniques.

Low Voltage Ride-Through Capability Improvement of Doubly Fed Induction Generator using DVR and SMES
Abstract: With the growth of communities and the increasing need for electricity, and because of the many benefits of renewable energy sources, the wind turbine has become a completely commercial and inevitable process, with increasing penetration into the electricity grid. Distribution networks, on the other hand, are subject to fault that cause power fluctuations and outflow of wind units. In...
متن کاملLow voltage ride-through strategies for doubly fed induction machine pumped storage system under grid faults
Pumped storage units bring stability to the electrical power system, so they must remain connected to the grid even during grid faults. In this paper, the authors propose efficient and simple solutions for a doubly fed induction machine pumped storage (DFIMPS) system during grid faults. In case of balanced grid faults, a control reconfiguration strategy is introduced and a hardware solution is ...
متن کاملProportional-Resonant Control of Doubly-Fed Induction Generator Wind Turbines for Low-Voltage Ride-Through Enhancement
A novel control strategy is proposed in this paper for the rotor side converter (RSC) of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind power generation systems. It is supposed to enhance the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability of DFIGs during great-level grid voltage dips. The strategy consists of a proportional-resonant (PR) controller and auxiliary PR controllers. The auxiliary cont...
متن کاملLoss of Excitation Detection in Doubly Fed Induction Generator by Voltage and Reactive Power Rate
The doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is one of the most popular technologies used in wind power systems. With the growing use of DFIGs and increasing power system dependence on them in recent years, protecting of these generators against internal faults is more considered. Loss of excitation (LOE) event is among the most frequent failures in electric generators. However, LOE detection stud...
متن کاملHigh Voltage Ride Through with FACTS for Wind Turbines with Doubly Fed Induction Generator
In future grid codes wind farms will have to fulfill demanding fault ride through requirements. Among several grid faults the voltage swell is a critical event. Wind farms with doubly-fed induction generators will not be able to fulfill the new grid code requirements without additional fault mitigation equipment. In this publication the applicability of the Dynamic Voltage Restorer and the Stat...
